Motocyclette Vincent - Rapide standard série C

Motocyclette VINCENT

The world’s fastest standard motorcycle”: Philip Conrad Vincent produced his first 1,000 cc motorcycle (Rapide Series A) in 1936, based on the 500 cc model he had been producing for two years. Its top speed of 180 km/h (112 mph) immediately earned it the slogan “The world’s fastest standard motorcycle.”

The Series B (1946–1947) reached 200 km/h (124 mph) in its “Black Shadow” version, while the Series C reached 240 km/h (149 mph) in the “Black Lightning” version.

The Series C “Standard” Rapide combines most of the components from these versions.

A final Series D was produced in 1954 and 1955, including a fully faired version called the “Black Prince.
