TALBOT LAGO Type T26 C

The cars produced by the French manufacturer Talbot Lago are designed for sports performance and luxury. This Formula 1 single-seater, though less powerful than its competitors (Ferrari, Maserati, etc.), managed to rise to the top thanks to its consistent build quality and low fuel consumption. This is the first example of the first series of six T 26 C Grand Prix single-seaters built by Talbot to compete in international Grand Prix races.

Acquired by Clermont-Ferrand driver Louis Rosier, the Talbot Lago T26 C allowed him to win the 1949 Belgian Grand Prix. That same year, Louis Chiron won the French Grand Prix behind the wheel of another T26 C.
