Bicycle RUDGE & Cie n°2

Rudge is a British brand, founded in 1869 by the Rudge brothers in Coventry, England. Originally, the company manufactured high-end bicycles and precision metal components.

Rudge penny-farthings were mainly produced during the 1870s–1880s, the golden age of the penny-farthing. They were renowned for their sturdiness and the quality of their components.

Rudge was considered one of the premium brands of the time, alongside Coventry, Starley, and Humber. Rudge bicycles were popular among enthusiasts who valued performance and reliability.

After the era of the penny-farthing, Rudge adapted to safety bicycles and continued producing bicycles and motorcycles into the early 20th century.
