The museum reserves

Around 40% of the objects conserved by the museum are actually on show to the public in the exhibition galleries. These are the more emblematic exhibits, but the museum keeps more than half its collection out of sight in its reserves.

Located outside the museum, the reserves contain automobiles, bicycles, motorcycles, trolley buses and advertising posters.

The objects kept in the reserves receive the same care and attention as the objects on show in the museum.

The museum reserves are workspaces which are not accessible to visitors.

Iconographic reserve

The museum conserves around 300 iconographic documents, particularly old advertising posters. These posters are preserved in paper folders in a light-protected environment in a special room, the iconographic reserve.
